Flex Pack is a mechanical gutta-percha condenser, also known as McSpadden.
Developed in a Nickel Titanium (NiTi) alloy, it promotes secure, rapid, and highly efficient obturation in lateral canals. When rotated inside the canals, it heats the gutta-percha by friction, enhancing three-dimensional compaction due to the design of its inverted helices.
It is also indicated for use in other obturation techniques. In the Tagger technique, a mix of lateral condensation is performed, resulting in a dense filling of the main canal. Another option is using the condensers during the Repack phase, i.e., quickly refilling the canal without bubbles. Flex Pack can be used with electric or air-driven motors.
